參考資料收藏著錄 / 黃君璧先生捐贈文物特展目錄,頁31-32、48-49 / 內容簡介(中文) / 鄭燮(西元一六九三-一七六五年),江蘇興化人。字克柔,號板橋。工詩文,善書畫,是清代中葉揚州畫派的重要畫家。竹石是鄭板橋最喜愛的繪畫題材。這幅畫中的石塊造型瘦硬,竹竿挺拔,竹葉蕭疏,充分表現了竹子孤高不屈的性格。全作用筆蒼勁有力,用墨酣暢淋漓。畫幅左側鄭氏款識的字體剞側,隨意揮灑,正是他得意的「六分半書」。全作書畫結合,天趣盎然。本幅為黃君璧先生捐贈。 / 內容簡介(英文) / Cheng Hsieh, a native of Kiangsu, was gifted at poetry and writing. A major artist of the Yangchow School during the middle Ch’ing, he excelled at painting and calligraphy. In painting, his favorite subject was bamboo and rocks. The slender angular rocks here rise up in the composition along with stalks of bamboo bearing twigs dotted with leaves. This work fully reveals the unyielding and lofty spirit of the scholar, who is symbolized in Chinese thought by the bamboo. The brushwork is powerful and the ink is fluid and moist. To the left are Cheng’s slanted characters done in a spontaneous style combining various manners. The painting and calligraphy complement each other perfectly. This work was donated by Mr. Huang Chun-pi.
