臺灣四面環海，命運與海洋緊密相連，從早期賴以維生的漁業，到現今盛行的休閒遊憩，海洋對於不同世代的臺灣人，有著截然不同的時代情感。隨著環境保育運動的興起，我們不再視大海為被動索取的客體，而是共同生活的主體。在「人海共生」倡議下，海洋永續的概念正逐步轉化為具體的實踐。 Sustainable Tides: Listening to the Voice of Taiwan's Ocean Surrounded by the sea, Taiwan’s destiny has always been closely connected to the ocean. From the fisheries that once sustained livelihoods to the recreational activities enjoyed today, the ocean has come to hold different meanings for different generations of Taiwanese people. With the rise of environmental conservation movements, we no longer see the ocean as a passive resource to be exploited, but as a partner with whom we coexist. Under the vision of human–ocean symbiosis, the concept of marine sustainability is gradually being translated into concrete practice.
