2025年10月22日臺灣堅守了7年的豬瘟防線遺憾破功,不禁讓人憶起當年重創本土養豬產業的口蹄疫,一時間聞『豬瘟』色變,希望我們能再一次渡過這場豬瘟風暴。你知道臺灣最早的豬瘟紀錄可以追溯到何時嗎?過去,養豬產業幾乎是全民投入的行業,甚至還舉辦過養豬比賽。現在,讓我們回到那段歷史一探究竟。 On 22 October 2025, Taiwan’s seven-year defense against swine fever reached its limit—a regrettable turn that jolted the pig industry. The news spread quickly, and the word “swine fever,” long absent from daily talk, resurfaced abruptly and brought back a familiar sense of fear. Many hoped the island could pull through this outbreak as it had before. When did Taiwan first record swine fever? The answer lies in an earlier Taiwan, when pig raising was simply part of daily life. Families kept pigs in their yards, and some towns even held contests to see who raised the finest pigs. Today, revisiting that past reveals how closely pigs once shaped the rhythms of life across Taiwan.
