三種繁體中文鉛字字型
日星鑄字行鑄造及販售的鉛字以正體中文為主，另有日文及英文、歐文、花邊、記號及特殊符號等。中文字體有宋體、黑體以及楷體，以前還有仿宋體、長宋體。
日星鑄字行的常用漢字有2056個，初號字常用加上罕用有4600字左右。五號字因為為一般的報章書籍印刷內文最常使用的號數，所以數量最多，有1萬個字左右。在活版印刷興盛的年代，「風行鑄字社」從上海帶回來的楷體字，相傳為上海一位老進士於1930至1940年間所書寫，後經六位篆刻師傅刻製而成，一般業界稱之為「上海字」。這套字因為型態優美，後來被總統府指定為官方用字，因此臺灣當時所有的鑄字行都爭相複製。
這套「風行字體」是台灣印刷用字最為古老的楷書字體。日星鑄字行的初號楷書是中南鑄字行向風行鑄字社買了字種後，再製成初號銅模，並重新再修正過，為復刻的第二代。
Ri Xing Type Foundry is focused on traditional Chinese, Japanese, and English. Chinese fonts include Songti, heiti, and kait. In the past, they also provided Fangsongti, and longsongti.
There are 2,056 commonly used Chinese fonts in Ri-Xing and the size 0 series is a total of 4,600 fonts including commonly used and rare used Chinese font. The size 5 series has a big amount of font because these series are often to use in newspapers and books, it’s around 10,000 fonts. In the era of letterpress printing, Kaiti typeface has been brought back from Shanghai by Feng-Xing Type Foundry, and these typefaces are said that was written by an old *JINSHI between 1930-1940, also later it has been carved by six seal engraving masters. Generally, they called it “Shanghai typeface”. This Shanghai typeface was designated by Presidential Office as the official fonts, thus, all type foundries in Taiwan are crazy to copy.

This typeface is the oldest Kaiti to use by Taiwanese. Ri-Xing’s copper mold of size 0 series Kaiti has been trimmed after Chung-Nan Type Foundry has bought from Feng-Xing. Thus, it’s already the second edition for this copper mold.
