The Seven Star Bridge, also called "Ping An Bridge" (Bridge for Safety and Well,平安橋)，would be set up by some taoist temples in the Lunar New Year for believers to walk over it to pray for getting good luck or good fortunes. Seven lamps are lit under the Bridge to symbolize the celestial seven stars and some sacrifices would be offered in front of the Bridge to the star gods. In Tainan County, the Ping An Bridge built by Matzu Temple in Luermen(鹿耳門天后宮) is lagrge-sized, even motors and cars can drive over it.
