Five-Colored Paper Money

The special paper money put upon the top of the graves is called "Yamu Paper" (壓墓紙). In early days, different ethnic groups use different colors Yamu papers. It is said that the white one was uaually used by Chuan Chou(泉州) people, the yellow one by Tongan(同安) people and red one by all people. Another saying is that the Chung Chou people use five-colored paper money (red, yellow, blue, white and black) and the Chang Chou(漳州) use theyellow paper.
