Based on the belief that "the more fireworks are set off, the more prosperous the town would become", the Firework Display has become a way by which the Yen Suei residents pray for blessings from gods. They are deeply convinced that the persons who believe piously would not be hurt by the firecrackers. Nevertheless, the visitors are still very carefull and dressed in thick clothes and wear gloves and safety helmets to avoid being harmed by the fireworks.
