史料原文/譯文"Xianguang Second Village in Guishan is the only residence for Military Police in Taoyuan. The well-kept Residence's interior allows for appreciation of military village life in 1960s in Taiwan.
The Residence was originally built in 1968 as one-story attached townhouses with 100 units. A 40-units, four-story reinforced concrete building with washed granolithic walls was later added for government use in 1973. The Village's residences styled differently in each era. Most buildings had partition walls made of lime stuffed between cane boards, with red bricks for external walls. The so-called "Cultural Wall" can still be seen at Xianguang Second Village, where it has virtually disappeared in other military villages. The Association's office is at the center; what is most special is that the original layout and the broadcast system from early days were kept.
There are many decades-old trees around. Together with plain concrete walls, graffiti, national flags, and alleyways shape up an image of a military village. The Village is now not only popular with TV dramas shooting but also is designated to be the future home for the Museum of Immigrants, showcasing their stories through times."
