復興巴陵橋暨巴陵一、二號隧道

  巴陵橋工程於民國53年動工,民國55年竣工。橋長160公尺、淨寬4.6公尺,橫跨大漢溪、橋面距離溪底深約48公尺。工法採加勁鋼橫梁單孔吊橋,鋼樑使用電焊,跟復興橋相同,兩者也是臺灣地區首次採用這種工法。結構專家陳文奇工程司住持橋體設計,唐榮台北機械廠製造鋼構建。

  巴陵一、二號隧道是當初為貫通公路、連結巴陵橋所開鑿。一號隧道長68公尺,復興端出口旁有巴壟橋紀念柱。二號隧道長79公尺,走在隧道內可發現有兩個大窟窿,是日治時期所開鑿之巴壟隧道遺跡,當時由手工鑿穿,長約30公尺,後來因巴陵二號隧道工程所截穿。

  民國94年巴陵大橋開通啟用後,巴陵橋及其隧道便功成身退停止車輛通行,僅供步行;目前隧道空間內規劃有復興特色及泰雅族文化展示,與巴陵橋一齊轉型成為遊憩觀光之地。

    Construction of Baling Bridge commenced in 1964 and was completed in 1966. The bridge was designed by the construction expert Chen Wen-Qi from the Engineering Bureau, and built by Tangrong Taipei Machine Factory. It spans over Dahan River and is 160 meters long and 4.6 meters wide, plus 48 meters down to the riverbed. Simliar to Fuxing Bridge, it was built as a single-span arch suspension bridge with electrically-welded reinforced steel beam. Such adoption of engineering method is a first in Taiwan. Baling Tunnels No. 1 and No. 2 were built to connect the Baling Bridge to the highway. Tunnel No. 1 is 68-meter long with Balon Iron-Wire Memorial Post standing by the Fuxing Exit. Tunnel No. 2 is 79-meter long; two giant caves were found; these were remains from the old section built during the Japanese ruling. Both were about 30 meters long, originally dug by hand; later on, though, the construction of Baling Tunnel No. 2 had broken these through. As the New Baling Bridge opened to the public, it became a recreational site together with the tunnels-turned-touristic walkways that exhibit Fuxing specialties and Atayal culture.
