紀念柱位在巴陵一號隧道口外左側，柱高約8公尺，柱身一端刻有「バロン橋」（バロン音近巴壟）；另一端刻有完工時間及建造單位「大正三年十月成工 土木局」。巴壟橋是由總督府土木局所施作的鐵線橋，原橋身約長170公尺、寬2公尺，竣工當年設立了紀念柱。巴壟橋後來因開發北橫公路，為興建巴陵橋而拆除，現僅留存此紀念柱。

- 史料原文/譯文Standing to the left of Baling Tunnel No. 1 exit is the eight-meter tall Balon Iron-Wire Bridge Memorial Post. Its Japanese name (バロン) is engraved on one side of the post, while the construction time (Oct, 1914) and the builder's name (Civil Engineering Bureau, Taiwanese Government-General) are carved on the other. The original Balon Bridge was iron-wired, 170 meters long, and 2 meters wide, with the Post built at its completion. The bridge was later dissembled due to the construction of Baling Bridge as a part of the Northern Cross-Country Highway; only the Post remains
