史料原文/譯文Longgang Area is a later developed area at the south edge of Zhongli. The land had been used for farming and tea garden before then. 1954, the First North Army (now the 6th Army Commands) camp was set up here. Expansion and houses for military families developed around it, thus attracted more military families to settle in, with growing population from outside the area. The premise became a start-up for the area's development. Longgang people lived and conducted business involving great deal of military activities. The roundabout area of Longgang had lived with military related development.
Longgang Roundabout, built after the settling in of First North Army after WWII, was a pavilion for resting purpose and changed to a military statue as of now. The statue of armed soldier stands as a protector to the town. An Army's Cultural Activity Center next to the roundabout provided space for cultural/recreational activity and cinema.
