　　廣大張宅原為三落二過水規模，後與隔壁茂發同時改建為樓房，室內均為鋼筋混凝土造。廣大的牌樓面以日治時期的清水磚砌成，磚縫以灰泥向外塗抹成半圓形的「凸縫」，相當費工。舊有山牆牆面損壞，民國87年（1998年）實施「大溪和平路美化工程」時重新砌築而成，可從清水磚的色澤看出其中的差異。

    Chang family's Guang-da had a "three-luo, two-guoshuei" layout, though, along with neighboring Mao-fa, was later altered as storied buildings built with reinforced concrete. Its wide arcade facade is made with red bricks fabricated during the Japanese reign, laboriously applied with mortar to create the oval-shaped beaded pointing. The old gable had damages, and the color differences can be seen after its renovation through 1998's "Daxi Heping Rd.'s Embellishing Project."
